appearance Valre has more scars than are reasonable, but the first thing people will likely notice is his magiteck right arm. He knows barely anything about technology and relies on others maintaining it. He also has a fake left foot (and half a shin), but wood is easy enough to deal with in that case. he also has a blind left eye, but because it's not fully blind, it may not be as obvious since he can still see light and vague movement. however, the three deep scars on the left side of his face are a pretty obvious indicator that something is up. He also has heavy scarring on his neck, near where the jaw meets, and his arms and legs.He's thin due to severe recent weight loss that he is recovering from, so his muscle mass is on the lower end, but with time, he'll be back to the way he was. He prefers to wear more concealing clothing as a result, but will wear something more revealing if he's in a good mood. his black hair is kept generally short and he attempts to keep it away from his eyes, but with how wavy/curly it is, that can be a bit of a challenge.He has a set of chest, back, and arm tribal tattoos from his time living in golmore. they don't have any particular sort of meaning beyond being an aesthetically pleasing geometrical pattern.ㅤbiography.ㅤ after his late wife bore his half-ravan son, she was banished from her veena village and came to beg for aide from him. though he would have of course been exiled if he chose to stay, he left with her without a second thought, and the pair lived in Rabanastre for a few decades with their children.after a tumultuous period in their relationship, they moved to a small village on the outskirts of dalmasca, built a house, and formed a community with the people there.unfortunately, with the stressors of garlemald near, it was only a matter of time before their village was attacked, and valre was left on the verge of death with his family dead and his village destroyed. He doesn't talk about how he survived this, just that he did.he attempted to take out as many garlean soldiers as he could, but dalmasca fell anyway, and then doma soon after. he lingered in hingashi for a few years before calling it quits and went to Eorzea.for two decades, he considered himself more a vigilante, taking out people who couldn't be touched by the law, and saving those who needed to be saved. it was just before the calamity struck that he happened to take down an illegal pleasure barge with a certain red-haired viera in it...eorzea slowly recovered from the calamity, and he continued doing vigilante work as he always did, attempting to find a way to cure his 'problem' that he wouldn't directly tell anyone about, just that he had one.recent events after working for a villanous sort of character, valre's mental health hit rock bottom and he was interred in a facility for a brief stay as he recovered. after release, he and fjore, his coworker, fled to kugane to escape her clutches. his health continued to deteriorate, and though he discovered his long-lost son, he couldn't deal with the stress of his current situation, and the stress of romantic rejection, and left kugane to return to eorzea. his health continued to wither, and after failure after failure to fix his decades-long predicament, he decided enough was enough and attempted to end his life again.by some miracle (or not really...), he was saved and interred at the same facility he'd stayed at the first time, but due to his sever situation, the sharlayan doctor who had treated him decided to have him sent to sharlayan directly. In exchange for healing and food, he would be studied by those interested in aether deterioration (or something like that, he's not really sure). with no other option, he stayed in sharlayan for a few weeks before traveling back to Eorzea. though he's not healthy by any means, he is at least recovering, and is determined to stay alive and stay as far away from his former employer as possible.
